Week of January 6, 2020
Monday-Tuesday:  no school for students.
Wednesday:  We went through our test and quiz schedule for the upcoming unit.  Students had an opportunity to look at their exam and ask questions.  We put our Chapter 8 Notes about prepositional phrases in our interactive notebooks.
Thursday:  We went through the Chapter 8 Notes, discussing how prepositions use different cases of nouns (accusative or ablative), that the preposition tells us what kind they need, how "in" can use either of the two cases and that its definition changes depending on that, and how many prepositional phrases have names based on a combination of the preposition that is used and the noun that is used.  Students finished the period by putting Friday's exercises into their interactive notebooks.
Friday:  We did #1-14 together, talking about the prepositions used (if any) and the type of nouns and reasoning our way to the answer as to what type they were and then translating the prepositional phrases.  Each group was then given two sentences to translate from the rest of the assignment.  We began putting the translations for the sentences on the board.
