Week of January 27, 2020
Monday: We discussed the order that Vergil put the things that Aeneas observed in Carthage as he walked through the new town. The students made sure that they had all the Latin translation in their Book I packets and filled in the English summaries where needed.
Week of January 20, 2020
Monday: holiday.
Tuesday: Students took their next Aeneid vocabulary test and we continued translating Book I of The Aeneid.
Thursday: We continued translating Book I of The Aeneid. We set dates for our next two tests: one of Book I from line 418 to the end; the other over the English translation of Book II.
Week of January 13, 2020
Tuesday: We continued translating Book I of The Aeneid.
Thursday: Students took their vocabulary test over literary styles/devices. We continued translating Book I of The Aeneid.
Week of January 6, 2020
Monday-Tuesday: no school for students.
Thursday: We made a vocabulary list covering the rest of Book I. Students were also given their "Literary Styles" notebook. We will have a vocabulary test over the literary styles on Thursday Jan. 16th and the vocabulary test over the rest of Book I will be on Tuesday Jan. 21st. Students spent the remainder of the class period looking at their Aeneid notebooks and prepping for Tuesday when we return to translating.
Friday: Today was a C day. Students worked on certain aspects of their Personalized Learning Plans.
