The 3rd Nine Weeks ends on Friday March 8th. At that time, grades are due for all secondary campuses. There have been many absences due to illness and field trips in recent weeks and there are many tests and quizzes that have still not been made up and make up work not turned in. Please check Skyward IMMEDIATELY to see if you are missing any thing. All make up work needs to be completed by Wednesday March 6th at 4:15 PM so that I can have enough time to grade missing assignments and enter grades.
If you are a middle school student, you will need to come in early one morning to make up any test or quizzes you might be missing.
If you are a CHHS student, all make up tests are being sent to Panther Prep in the CHHS Library; if you don't know the times for Panther Prep, ask one of your teachers at CHHS.
If you are a GHS student, you may come to my room any morning during zero hour to make up a test. If you want to make up a test after school, please see me so that we can talk. If I cannot stay after school, tests are put in Extended Day.
Any test, quiz, or missing assignment not turned in by Wednesday March 6th at 4:15 PM will be entered as a zero and the nine weeks grade will be calculated that way.

The Next Three Weeks
The 3rd Nine Weeks ends on Friday March 8th, when we leave for Spring Break. I need to touch base with everyone regarding a few reminders:
Late Work
I take one late paper per grading period for a maximum grade of a 70. If there are extenuating circumstances, please come and talk to me so that we can figure out a course of action.
Make Up Work
When you are absent, it is imperative that you come talk to me when you come back to class. If you do not come and see me, you may be missing work. I will, with the student's input, set a reasonable due date for the return of all make up work.
Make Up Tests for GHS Students
Likewise, when you miss a test, it is extremely necessary that you talk to me about scheduling that test or quiz. I can always accommodate make up tests in my classroom during zero hour; I am usually in my room by 7 AM. If you need an afternoon time for making up a test, I will need to consult my schedule: often times I have meetings after school. When this is the case, I can put a make up test in Extended Day for GHS students.

In addition to one late assignment per grading period, students are also allowed to retake one failing test grade for a maximum grade of a 70; the new test is graded and the score is calculated at 70% of that grade. Students need to talk to me about retaking a test before we will schedule it. Tutorials must be done before I will allow any retake.
